Through Proven Techniques
San Francisco Elite Tutors is a performance-based academic teaching company structured to meet individual students’ demands. This means that we base our approach to education on whatever short or long term goals a particular student may have, ranging from anything as complex as designing a year-long program to prepare for the AP Physics BC Exam, to something as simple as passing a Hamlet pop-quiz.
In order to teach standardized tests like the SAT, SAT II, ACT, MCAT, GRE or GMAT, our instructors must have scored in the highest possible (usually 99th) percentile on the particular test in order to be authorized to teach it. This guarantees that only the most qualified educators meet our rigorous standards of employment.
Why We’re Different
Most tutoring companies staff their teaching positions with recent college graduates looking for a stepping stone to the next point in their career. Unfortunately, this system leaves behind both excellent teachers and wanting students. Although billing high and paying low is a very profitable business model, it is a poor educational one. The very best educators have little motivation to work for a company that doesn’t reward their exceptional expertise. It’s simply not worth it.
Alternatively, we attract the very best talent in the industry by offering truly commensurate compensation(on average twice the industry standard). We understand that real expertise deserves a real paycheck. But as a small company, we are fortunately able to maintain lower rates for students than our competition due to low overhead. And like Wal-Mart, we pass the savings on to you.
“I paid two thousand dollars for a full-length course with XXXXXX and my score actually decreased. After demanding a refund, I contacted SFET and after six weeks my score jumped 18 points. 18 points!”
-Tristan M., Future Lawyer, Former LSAT Student
“I started the year off convinced that my physics grade would forever haunt me and wanted to destroy my teacher. After meeting weekly with my tutor since November, I still hate my teacher, but am cruising with a A- and hoping for a 5 on the AP!”
-Megan M., Palo Alto
“I only had three weeks to prep for the GMAT, and Adam set me up with a customized program to cater to my timeline. That was a tough three weeks, but it doesn’t compare to the benefits of adding a hundred points to my score.”
-Steven I., 2012 MBA Candidate, Anderson School of Management, University of California – Los Angeles
“Jake has been accepted by Univ. of Calif. Davis, Santa Barbara, San Diego, Pitzer College, University of Oregon, Willamette, Lewis and Clark College, University of Washington, University of Colorado at Boulder, University of Denver and USC. All thanks to you.”
-Billy W., Los Angeles, CA
